Free Software to Unblock Encrypted DVD Files
If you are fan of movies and videos the chances are high that you deal with DVDs on a regular basis. Unfortunately some companies and private individuals encrypt these files so that they are impossible to read with traditional methods. DVD43 is similar to other packages such as WinXDVD and DVDFab. However it takes up less memory and offers a very user-friendly interface.
Functions and Applications
DVD43 is intended to be used as plug-in with all 64-bit operating systems. Much of what it performs is actually quite automatic. First you will need to run the setup program included with the download. You then simply start your personal DVD-copying software that is already installed. In the majority of cases the information contained will be decrypted and you can view the DVD immediately.
Free and Easy to Use
DVD43 is designed to address the needs of those who are not familiar with the more technical aspects of the decryption process. A setup wizard will quickly guide you through the installation process. This normally takes only a few moments to complete. All actions are made very clear on the main window. You can simply drop and drag an existing file into the appropriate field to begin the decryption.

Great app, but not for 64 bit machines.
Have used older versions trouble free for years, but version 4-6-0 is not compatible with 64 bit computers. You need to say so up front. More

DVD34.
A brilliant piece of software that quickly enables you to back up all those copy protected DVDs. So far I've only come across one DVD that DVD43, couldn't decode.(think, DVD for free) I'm not into pirating software, but after paying twenty plus pounds for a DVD and then after watching the film once, I found I'd damaged the disc, my fault I know but we are constantly urged to back up our hard drives, so why not our precious DVDs?
Pros:
Quick to install, so easy to use it's unbelievable. I especially like the little green smiley face that shows my DVD is ready to copy.
Cons:
Can't think of any off hand. More

DVD43 v4.6.0.0 Prod Ver. 1.0.0.0 date 6/2009.
IMHO this is freeware that is used in tandem with a BACKUP program to make a copy of a disk you have purchased and as such, it is excellent. It runs flawlessly in the background. The BACKUP software I purchased recommended this freeware. Without it I would have been up the creek several times because of accidental damage to originals.
Pros:
Runs in background automatically identifying reader/burner drives as an extension of the backup software. The user does not have to do ANYTHING regarding this piece of software. What is not to like?
Cons:
I've used it with 32 bit OS up to and including Windows 7 but have heard it will not work with 64 bit systems. Too bad; I'm keeping one desktop with 32 bit 7 just for this purpose. More
